MINUTES / WORKSHOP
NOVEMBER 16, 2009
The workshop was called to order by Mayor Marasco at 7:00 P.M.
All council members were present.
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Vice Mayor Arnold.
The Invocation was given by Councilman Spruill
A motion to adopt the agenda was made by Vice Mayor Arnold, seconded by Councilman Witt.
The Mayor stated that the Ordinances had been reviewed by Mr Jaywork and would be forwarded to the Charter review committee.
The Town has received correspondence from Ms. Kate O’Brien, DNREC, stating that she has taken a job in Pa. The proposal for the park should be ready after the Holidays.
Council discussed the use of the leftover funds from Halloween. It was decided to use the money for Easter Egg Hunt.
Hopefully, thru donations from council & citizens, we can Adopt a Family for Christmas. Council will contact various sources to see if we can locate a family in town or in close proximity.
A porta potty will be placed at the park for the winter months.
Discussion on several issues followed:
December workshop will be held on December 14.
Fire Company will be contacted to see if someone wants to be present at Dec Mtg. to accept their donation from the town.
A new server for the town must be ordered. Proceeds from the sale of the Intrepid and a $ 1,000. donation from the Peach Festival Committee will be used to pay for it.
Possible4 hiring of an Engineer for inspection of roads in future subdivisions
