NEW BUSINESS:
Hilton Bus Service: Owners had 2 primary questions:
- Will the new business fall with in the Town’s “Light Industrial” definition? ANSWER - The committee felt that “yes” this business would fall with in the Town’s definition.
- The owner had a question about the existing easement entrance and the actual unused entrance? The owners would like to purchase the parcel and use the existing easement entrance. They would like to know if this will be OK, and will this still allow a future parcel to use the un used entrance as to allow for 2 parcels to have separate entrances?
ANSWER - Kelly suggested that they speak to DELDOT, there may be a limitation due to the current width with the 20’ easement.
Hilton currently has approximately 70 buses, some of the busses leave the yard at 5AM. Hilton’s does not allow their drivers to warm the buses up for more than 10 minutes. Hilton’s primarily serves the Caesar Rodney and Capital School Districts.
Review Workshop Questions:
The Town of Wyoming has approximately 33% spare capacity for growth in our water supply.
We also have spare capacity for our Sewage leaving CWSWA headed to Frederica’s facility.
How does the Town’s listed 1% of open space compare to other Towns? We agreed that we should could count the fields of the local schools as open space.
We agreed that we will contact the City of Dover, Town of Camden, and Kent County to share our new potential ideas for our Comprehensive Plan Update. We will request feedback, and hope to incorporate any ideas which may have a mutual benefit. We are requesting B.J. to send our draft plan and maps out to the above mentioned entities.
OLD BUSINESS:
Comprehensive Plan Update:
The Committee spent a good amount of time updating the existing land maps with B.J.
Administrative Action: Don will have to take leave for about the next month and would like to delegate his duties to someone for help. Kelly and Dave will assist in his absence.
