The Wyoming Police Department and the Nixle Company have teamed up to bring important news to anyone that is interested in signing up for the information. The Nixle Company offers a free community notification system through cell phones via text messages, email, or by your website. There is no charge to the police department or to the individual signing up for the service. The only charge you may receive would be from your cell phone provider for a text message. The information is loaded in to the system by the police department or town hall personnel through Nixle's website and then is sent to anyone that registers to receive the information. The information has different levels of the type of message. It can range from a serious public safety issue or just letting you know about a community event (Pride Day, Peach Festival, Halloween). If you would like to register for the service or obtain more information just log on to www.nixle.com and follow the instructions. If you should have any questions please feel free to contact me at (302) 697-7960 at extension 16 if I am not in the office. You can also contact me via email at charles.manuszak@cj.state.de.us. I hope you find the program helpful to you. Thank you for your consideration in participating in this program.
